Tenue \u00e0 Pittsburgh du 28 au 30 octobre prochain, il s&#8217;agit du plus grand rendez-vous de ce domaine de l&#8217;\u00e9conomie circulaire mais grandement n\u00e9cessaire au d\u00e9veloppement durable.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ASFQ est heureux d&#8217;avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9 par le comit\u00e9 organisateur BuildReuse \u00e0 donner une conf\u00e9rence sur son programme &#8220;Mat\u00e9riaux sans fronti\u00e8res&#8221; et son potentiel d&#8217;impact social. Fond\u00e9e \u00e0 Winnipeg, BuildReuse est l&#8217;association nord-am\u00e9ricaine du r\u00e9emploi des mat\u00e9riaux de la construction et sa conf\u00e9rence annuelle est le plus grand rendez-vous annuelle de ce secteur pr\u00e9cis de l&#8217;\u00e9conomie circulaire. ASFQ profitera de l&#8217;occasion pour rencontrer quelques 300 repr\u00e9sentants d&#8217;entreprises et d&#8217;organismes du secteur, avec lesquels \u00e9changer des meilleures pratiques et des le\u00e7ons apprises. Ce sera l&#8217;occasion \u00e9galement de visiter des centre de r\u00e9emploi de mat\u00e9riaux de la r\u00e9gion de Pittsburgh, \u00e0 commencer par <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cjreuse.org\/\">Construction Junction<\/a>, l&#8217;un des organismes d&#8217;\u00e9conomie sociale les plus anciens du secteur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>R\u00e9sum\u00e9 de la conf\u00e9rence d&#8217;ASFQ :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Materials without Borders: The Initiative and its social impact potential for the architecture industry <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Deconstruction and building material reuse is of utmost importance for sustainable development. But how can we develop innovative business models to better leverage the power of the sector? Can we do this in ways that engage the whole architecture industry, while also having a positive social impact on communities here and abroad? To explore those opportunities, this session presents the case of the &#8220;Materials Without Borders&#8221; initiative, a building material reuse program under development by a Montreal-based charity called Architecture Without Borders Quebec (AWBQ). After a decade of architectural assistance to vulnerable populations and spontaneous used and new material donations reclaimed for its projects, AWBQ has decided to develop this program as an integral part of its business and social impact models. As the official humanitarian arm of the Order of Architects of Quebec (OAQ), AWBQ counts every architect of the province among its members, an asset to promote building material reuse throughout the industry. Could the \u201cMaterials Without Borders\u201d program be successfully replicated by other organisations in North-America and abroad?
